JOB PURPOSEThe Dietitian is responsible for managing the nutritional care of clients. This is professional dietetics practice in either clinical nutrition, community nutrition or food service operations towards the attainment, maintenance and promotion of the health of individuals, groups and the communityQUALIFICATIONSA Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition or dietetics and successful completion of an accredited internship program. Must be registered and a member in good standing with the New Brunswick Association of Dietitians.Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) and completion of the Certification Program for Insulin Dose Adjustment considered an assetAbility to attend work on a regular basis.Ability to perform the duties of the position.Good work record..KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Dietitian is responsible for:Assessing, planning, and providing therapy to individuals and groupsMaintaining clinical records and documentationParticipating in interdisciplinary care planningPreparing and presenting information and education sessionsProviding mentoring and support for studentsParticipating in developing, maintaining and evaluating policies and proceduresCOMPETENCIES IDENTIFIED BY HORIZON HEALTH NETWORKAnalytical ThinkingFlexibilityInterpersonal RelationsMentoring and CoachingPatient/Client FocusPlanning and Prioritizing WorkTeamwork and CollaborationInterested?
