Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Tasks: Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment. Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment. Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures. Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets. Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access. Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers. Splice, join and connect wires. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Working at heights training. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Repetitive tasks. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Manual dexterity. Personal suitability: Judgement. Organized. Efficient interpersonal skills.
