Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Accountant to oversee our accounting department and ensure the accurate and efficient execution of financial processes. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a small team and overseeing various aspects of the accounting cycle, including payroll, PST and GST remittance, month-end financials, and year-end preparation for CPA review. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial success of a growing organization in the home security industry. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance.- Ensure accurate and timely remittance of PST and GST.- Prepare month-end financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.- Assist in the year-end financial audit process, preparing necessary documentation for CPA review.- Monitor and maintain compliance with Canadian accounting standards and regulations.- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support for decision-making. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - CPA designation required- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.- Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and tax regulations.- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
