Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Commercial. Industrial. Institutional. Installation. Shop fabrication. Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury. Monitor quality and production levels. Cut materials using power tools or by hand. Assist machine operators or assemblers in manufacturing process. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Read blueprints and drawings. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Occupational Health and Safety Certificate. Type of materials: Aluminum alloys. Frame fabrication and installation: Curtain wall (stock length material). Curtain wall (prefabricated material). Spandrel panel installations. Aluminum framing members. Entranceways. Equipment and machinery experience: Press brakes and metalworking equipment. Equipment, eystems and controls experience: NC and CNC systems. Area of work experience: Production. Metal forming or shaping operations experience: Bending. Area of specialization: Product. Metallurgy. Install curtain and window walls finishes. Factory assembly. Aluminum windows and doors. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Standing for extended periods.
