*Job Summary* We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software to facilitate effective financial management. *Duties* * Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements * Plan, set up and administer accounting systems * Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control * Prepare financial information for individuals, departments or companies * Prepare reports and audit findings * Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices * Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting and internal control procedure * Prepare income tax returns from accounting records * Analyze financial documents and reports * Examine accounting records * Provide financial, business and tax advice * Variance analysis * Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems * Oversee payroll administration *Experience* * Accounting software * MS Excel * Sage Accounting Software Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $47.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Dental care Schedule: * Day shift * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Ability to commute/relocate: * East York, ON M4G 3B5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: * Accounting: 3 years (required) * Microsoft Excel: 3 years (required) Work Location: In person- LocationEast York, ON
