*Job Summary* We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and ensuring that every customer has a positive experience. *Duties* * Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes. * Operate the espresso machine, grinders, and other equipment with proficiency. * Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. * Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering questions about menu items. * Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. * Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies; assist with restocking as needed. * Adhere to food safety standards and practices at all times. * Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. * Demonstrate excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. *Qualifications* * Previous experience in food service or as a barista is preferred but not required. * Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. * Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change accurately. * Familiarity with food safety practices is highly desirable. * Experience with cashiering and cash handling is beneficial. * Ability to operate POS systems efficiently. * Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment. * A willingness to learn about coffee preparation techniques and beverage recipes.
