Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work site environment: Odours. Cold/refrigerated. Tasks: Conduct or assist in air and water quality testing. Conduct sampling and analysis using chromatography techniques. Conduct tests and analysis using other physical and chemical separation techniques. Maintain laboratory equipment. Operate laboratory apparatus. Set up chemical experiments, tests and analyses. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Assist in developing programs of sampling and analysis to maintain quality standards . Assist in the development of chemical engineering processes, studies of chemical engineering procurement, construction, inspection and maintenance. Conduct safety training programs. Area of work experience: Analysis. Process troubleshooting. Quality assurance and control. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Standing for extended periods. Personal suitability: Accurate. Organized. Proactive. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
