Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Dusty. Hot. Noisy. Odours. Outdoors. Work setting: Rural area. Staff accommodation available. Tasks: Monitoring animal health. Work with honey bees. Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers. Maintain livestock performance records. Maintain work records and logs. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Perform general farm duties. Maintain the bee yard and beekeeping equipment. Interac with bees based on your knowledge of their biology, behaviour, ecology and caste system. Supervision: 11-15 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. Apiary and honey harvesting experience: Apiary management. Detect bee diseases . Honey farm. Manage a set of measures designed to protect a beekeeper's honey bees from the entry and spread of pests. Oversee the honey extraction. Treat bees with antibiotics . Automated honey extractor. Harvesting honey. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Drive manual transmission vehicle. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Overtime required. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
