Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Food processing plant. Bakery. Rural area. Tasks: Operate machinery to process and bag, box or otherwise package food products. Perform corrective machine adjustments. Clean machines and immediate work areas. Set up and adjust processing and packaging machines. Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit. Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs. Stock refrigerators and salad bars. Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand. Remove kitchen garbage and trash. Portion and wrap foods. Package take-out food. Handle and store cleaning products. Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment. Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware. Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas. Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Food Safety Certificate. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Type of operation: Mixing. Blending. Baking or cooking. Freezing. Cooling. Canning. Bottling. Equipment and machinery experience: Multi-functional process control machinery. Conventional oven.
