Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Confined spaces. Wet/damp. Noisy. Odours. Hot. Cold/refrigerated. Work setting: Staff accommodation available. Staff accommodation provided. Drilling and well service contractor. Room and board provided. Remote location. Various locations. Tasks: Check for wear and tear to detect and replace faulty parts of the drill sooner. Clean up rig areas. Assist in setting up, taking down and transporting drilling and service rigs and service equipment. Set up equipment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate. Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate. Oilfield Swampers course. Standard First Aid Certificate. Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate. Field work location experience: Alberta. Security and safety: Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel. Willing to travel regularly. Public transportation is not available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. 20/20 vision. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Large workload. Overtime required. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Safety equipment/gear.
