Cross & Company, Chartered Professional Accountants, is seeking a professional accountant with experience in public practice who is looking for a challenging work environment with opportunity for advancement. Characteristics we are looking for: * Strong business acumen and ability to understand and review business reports and transactions * Critical thinking, attention to detail with ability to identify issues and provide solutions * Enthusiastic and self-motivated, inherent drive to see results and meet deadlines * Strong interpersonal skills with both clients and team members * Work strongly within a team environment and provide guidance to CPA students Requirements: * Accounting designation (CPA, CGA, CA) or nearing completion of CPA program. * 2+ years of recent public practice experience as a designated accountant * Experience using Caseware, Sage 50, and QuickBooks. Experience with Jazzit, TaxPrep and CCH iFirm is an asset. * Experience with all assurance and tax engagements. Experience with technical tax matters an asset. * Experience with sales and excise taxes * Experience with personal and corporate tax planning and business consulting Duties would include but not be limited to the following: * Corporate, personal, and trust tax returns and all related planning * Client management and correspondence * Preparation of assurance and non-assurance engagements * Government audits and reviews * Business consulting * Guidance and training to junior accountants * Partnership Aspirations Additional Comments: Cross & Company is a rapidly growing, fast paced environment.
