<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p><p>The Construction Estimator will prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for a range of construction projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial developments. This role is integral in helping clients understand the financial requirements of a project and plays a critical role in ensuring the project stays within budget.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to accurately determine costs.</li><li>Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to assess construction requirements and timelines.</li><li>Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.</li><li>Research and source pricing for construction materials and services, maintaining updated records of costs and rates.</li><li>Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and identify potential project impacts.</li><li>Prepare bid proposals, including labor, materials, and overhead calculations, ensuring compliance with all project specifications.</li><li>Review project documents and assess potential risks to incorporate contingency factors in estimates.</li><li>Monitor project budgets and adjust cost estimates as necessary during the planning and construction phases.</li><li>Support project managers and clients by providing guidance on cost-saving options and alternate materials or methods.</li><li>Maintain records of all bids, estimates, and cost data for future reference.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.</li><li>Valid G driver's license.</li><li>3+ years of experience as a construction estimator or in a similar role.</li><li>Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry standards.</li><li>Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ProEst, PlanSwift) and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with strong attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.</li><li>Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Strong organizational and time-management skills.</li></ul><p> </p></div></div>
