We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team and help us maintain our commitment to financial excellence.
*Position Overview:*
As the Accounting Manager at Western Legacy Group, you will oversee financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, budgeting, and regulatory compliance. We are looking for a proactive, highly organized, and detail-oriented individual with a passion for modernizing processes and enhancing operational efficiency. Your expertise and leadership will be vital in optimizing our financial systems and supporting the effective functioning of our organization.
*Job Type: *Full Time
*Salary: *Based on Experience. Negotiable.
*Schedule: *Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
*Work Location: *Leduc Office
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Oversee accounts payable functions efficiently and accurately.
* Utilize accounting software to maintain financial records. Prepare and review accurate financial statements and reports.
* Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and models.
* Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
* Implement and maintain internal controls to protect company assets.
* Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce ad-hoc reports.
* Reconciles the Accounts Payables and Purchase Orders.
* Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure timely invoice and payment processing.
* Ensuring policies, practices, and procedures comply with professional standards and provincial and federal regulatory requirements.
* Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
* Preparing, reviewing, and submitting tax documents, as well as staying current with Canadian tax regulations to ensure compliance and prevent errors or penalties
* Handling financial records, and maintaining consistent reporting standards, and ensuring efficient coordination of accounting functions within multiple entities across various locations
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor?s degree in accounting is an asset.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting is preferred.
* Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, and other accounting programs.
* Experience with payroll software such as Dayforce PowerPay is an asset.
* Thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, be adaptable and resilient, and see challenges as opportunities for growth.
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
* Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
