For more information about our company, please visit our website at *www.advance-machines.com* *Position Overview:* We are looking to fill one (1) User Support Technician position on a full-time basis. Upon successful completion of a 3-month probationary period, the position may lead to a permanent full-time position with medical and dental benefits. As a User Support Technician, you must possess a high level of knowledge and experience in working and maintaining computer systems, hardware planning, network maintenance and some knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) as an asset. The ideal candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision, and work as a team member with other CNC Programmers, Machinists and other industrial technicians when maintaining and troubleshooting software systems for CNC Machines and other time sensitive projects. You must have excellent verbal and written English skills when communicating with team members and customers. In addition, your other responsibilities are: · Troubleshooting and maintaining network coverage for all computers and systems that support CNC Machines and other technical equipment · Email server maintenance and integration · Maintaining network servers · Investigate and resolve software problems in a timely manner · Collect, organize and maintain a user log of problematic issues regarding software glitches and user-ability · Purchasing computer hardware and software to conform with the company?s technical requirements · Hardware and software installation · Complete paperwork to maintain records and department standards; · Organize and compile complex blueprints and/or job orders and input them to the ERP system · Create and maintain systems to prevent vulnerable cybersecurity threats · Provide instructions to staff regarding use of computers, software and other technical equipment · Research and implement different user guides and manuals regarding the use of certain software programs (ie: MS Office, Solidworks, Autocad, Dellcam, CAD/CAM applications, Mastercam, etc.) · Provide technical support and training to staff regarding the use of various software programs, network troubleshooting, etc. *Position Requirements:* * Completion of a two ? three year college program or equivalent in computer science, computer programming, network administration or in a related discipline; * Minimum of 2 ? 3 years of experience as a user support technician * Minimum of 2 ? 3 years of experience as a user support technician with a background in business and ERP systems as an asset * Microsoft Certifications in user and desktop support as an asset * Must have a strong level of knowledge in managing and organizing an inventory of various software programs * Fluency in verbal and written English; * Ability to perform tasks/assignments with minimal supervision. *Salary, hours of work and location:* $32 per hour (depending on experience), 5 days per week, Delta, BC area Please send your resume and cover letter by email to the attention of: *Human Resources* Advance Machines Ltd. 8137 Swenson Way Delta, BC V4G 1J5 Email: HR@advance-machines.com *\*\*Please quote Job Reference Number: ?USERSUPPORT001?* Due to the volume of applications, we will only select applicants who meet all the requirements mentioned in this job posting.
