Education: College/CEGEP. Work site environment: Child welfare. Work setting: Group home. Mental health institution, facility or clinic. Youth drop-in centre. Children's services facility. Shelter for the homeless. Tasks: Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services. Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs. Develop, co-ordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community. Housekeeping activities. Food preparation. Resolve conflict situations. Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Supervision: 3-4 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Target audience: Children. Persons with an intellectual disability. Persons with learning disabilities. Persons with mental health disabilities. Persons with physical disabilities. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle. Willing to travel. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Weight handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
