We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer service. This position involves transporting goods across various routes while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the freight. A successful Truck Driver will possess excellent driving skills, knowledge of vehicle maintenance, and the ability to handle heavy equipment. *Responsibilities* * Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently to transport freight to designated locations. * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. * Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight. * Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. * Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. * Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle. * Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to keep the vehicle in optimal condition. * Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment when necessary for loading or unloading freight. *Qualifications* * Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. * Experience in commercial driving is preferred; familiarity with freight handling is a plus. * Knowledge of heavy equipment operation is advantageous. * Basic automotive repair skills are desirable for maintaining vehicle performance. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. * Must be able to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) as required during loading and unloading processes.
