Career Opportunity <p>CUPE NTB 571- Social Worker FTE 1.0 Permanent Position <p>Posted November 11, 2024 JE Code - 21 Internal/External<p>Date of Appointment: As soon as possible<p>Description: <p>The Social Worker will function as a member of a multidisciplinary team providing, but not limited to, support services to students, families, and Board personnel through consultation/assessment; crisis intervention; counselling; attendance investigation; community liaison/networking; prevention programming; professional development; child/family advocacy.<p>Qualifications: Minimum B.S.W, M.S.W preferred<p> Valid Ontario driver's license<p> Excellent interpersonal, oral, written and computer skills<p> Proven assessment and intervention skills<p> Experience in providing school based social work services from an evidence informed practice perspective<p> Ability to work in a team setting<p> Maturity in dealing with confidential information<p> Membership in good standing with The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers<p> Previous work in an education setting is beneficialLocation: <p>Student Services Support Staff (N.M.C.) 44 Hunt St. Hamilton<p>Salary: <p>Category 10 (Social Worker) C.U.P.E.
