Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Install domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems. Repair domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems. Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges. Estimate costs and materials. Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size. Ensure electrical and plumbing installations meet government regulation. Experience: 1 to less than 7 months. Support for persons with disabilities: Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for persons with disabilities .
