*Position*: MDRT (Medical Device Reprocessing Technician) *Employment Type*: Casual/part-time *Shifts per Week*: 2 shifts per week (Thursday and Friday). Flexibility to pick-up shifts on a relief basis is required. *www.kensingtonclinic.com* Mandatory: * Completion of an accredited Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) program. Completion of Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) [Formerly IAHCSMM] certification or Canadian Standards Association (CSA) certification. * Police Information Check (vulnerable sector) within the last 12 months. *Pattern*: Days. Weekdays. Some Saturdays. We are hiring a casual Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to join our team at Kensington Clinic. Ours is an often busy, dynamic, and fast-paced work environment. We are a small, yet diverse team of medical professionals who are focused on patient-centered care. *Being pro-choice is a must to work at Kensington Clinic as we are an abortion clinic.* We encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds and are working to represent the communities we serve. *We are looking for an MDRT who is:* * Pro-choice * Patient-focused, compassionate, and non-judgmental * Open to learning new ideas * Able to follow Kensington Clinic?s Policies & Procedures * Able to work well in a team environment and independently * Problem Solving skills ? able to think quickly & solve problems in a fast-paced environment * Likes challenge and is open to innovation and change * MDRT experience is an asset * Able to get along well with others * Able to work independently * Able to work in a gender-inclusive environment * Able to demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning & curiosity *The MDRT position duties include but are not limited to:* * Accurate & timely collection, decontamination, sterilization, packaging, and delivery of all medical instrumentation * Adhering to sterilization procedures & regulations, including performing quality control through continuous testing and cleaning of all sterilization equipment & instruments * Keeping proper documentation of all sterilization procedures * Monitors inventory and equipment as needed Job Types: Part-time, Casual Pay: $18.79-$28.07 per hour Expected hours: 16 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday * Overtime * Weekends as needed Work Location: In person- LocationCalgary, AB
