*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about dentistry and committed to enhancing the patient experience.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance.
* Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
* Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, using Cleardent.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and strong ability to discuss treatment plans.
* Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the clinical area in compliance with infection control protocols.
* Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently, acting as a liaison between patients and the dental team.
* Support orthodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting with appliance adjustments when necessary.
* Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a positive patient experience in both pediatric and general dentistry settings.
*Skills*
* Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, including knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
* Familiarity with dental software systems such as Itero and Cleardent is preferred.
* Being CDAAC certified is a plus, but we will train the right candidate.
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
