Students typically exhibit academic, language and social delays. The program emphasizes functional academics, community awareness, health and physical fitness, consumer education, vocational preparation, and work experience. Students are integrated into electives whenever possible.The successful candidate should have experience and/or university training in the teaching of Mathematics and/or Science at the Secondary Level. The successful candidate should have training and/or experience within Special Education and will be responsible for: Developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized education plans (IEPs).<p> Developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized and class-wide positive behaviour support plans.<p> Liaising with parents, school, and district staff.<p> Coordinating the Senior LAC program at John Oliver Secondary.SCHOOL PROFILE: <p>John Olivers student population is multicultural and diverse in academic abilities.
