*Office Administrative Assistant Key Responsibilities:*
* Open and distribute incoming regular and electronic mail and other material and co-ordinate the flow of information internally and with other departments
* Order office supplies and maintain inventory
* Answer telephone and electronic inquiries and relay telephone calls and messages
* Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
* Greet visitors, direct visitors to employer or appropriate person
* Record and prepare minutes of meetings
* Arrange travel schedules and make reservations
* Coordinating events as necessary
* Maintain supply inventory
* Review, process and approve supplier invoices for payment
* May compile data, statistics and other information to support research activities
* Must be able to lift and/or occasionally move up to 25 pounds
* Bookkeeping and Payroll experience an asset
* Follow up with customer calls.
* Review AR overdue accounts and make payment inquiries on a weekly basis
* Preparing and sending material via courier
*Requirements:*
* Completion of a one- or two-year college or other programs for administrative assistants AND 4+ years of clerical experience is required
* Being bilingual is highly beneficial in this role
* Valid G class driver's license and mode of transportation are required
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize jobs
* Ability to communicate effectively
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
* Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
* Good keyboarding and strong computer skills
* An interest in working both independently and as part of a team in an office setting
* Strong work ethic and superior attention to detail
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
* Proven team player with the ability to align position goals with corporate strategic goals
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
