To support its growth and expansion, SSM is looking to add a Millwright to the Production team.
*Shift:* Afternoon Shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm)
*Essential Functions:*
As a Maintenance Millwright, you will be accountable to:
· Read equipment manuals and blueprints to successfully complete installations, troubleshooting and repairs
· Inspect and examine equipment to identify irregularities and malfunctions
· Adjust equipment and repair/replace defective components
· Assemble equipment prior to installation using hand/power tools and welding equipment
· Participate in continuous improvement projects to optimize equipment safety, efficiency and reliability
· Complete Work Orders according to PM schedules
· Ensure that work area is clean of debris and hazards at all times
· Work in a safe manner in accordance with provincial and internal LOTO policy
· Perform other related duties as assigned or required
*Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*
· Ticketed in the Millwright Trade
· Minimum 3 years? experience in a manufacturing environment
· High aptitude with Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems (An Asset)
· Electrical Experience (Asset)
· Prima equipment experience (Asset)
· Design Experience (Asset)
· Proven track record working with Welding Equipment (ARC, TIG, MIG)
· Above average problem-solving skills
· Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs
· Thrives in a team environment
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Basic knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Excel, Outlook)
· Focuses on continuous self-improvement

Pay: $41.40 per hour
