We are looking for an *experienced RVT* who is passionate about providing outstanding patient care to join our amazing team. We fully utilize our RVTs ? we know you?ve worked hard to gain those technical skills and we want you to be able to use them. We are a fun-loving, close-knit group and we are looking for someone who can fit seamlessly into our team. *Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients while supporting veterinarians in their daily tasks. This position requires a strong commitment to animal welfare and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. *Duties* * Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. * Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis, to aid in diagnosis. * Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian. * Monitor the health and behavior of animals before, during, and after procedures. * Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation of treatments. * Educate pet owners on post-operative care, nutrition, and general animal health. * Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization of instruments and equipment. * Assist with the handling and restraint of animals for examinations and procedures. *Requirements* * A degree in Veterinary Technology. * Registration with the *Alberta Veterinary Medical Association (ABVMA)* is required. * Experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital setting is essential; we are specifically seeking an *experienced Veterinary Technician*. * Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both animals and their owners. * The ability to handle stressful situations with composure and professionalism. * A genuine passion for animal care and welfare. * License in good standing with the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association. *What do we offer you?* * *Compassion Account - *Part of the benefits at Happy Paws is that you get a certain amount of money to put towards anyone?s bill.
