*Minimum Requirements:*
- Post secondary education Medical Office Assistant / Unit Clerk is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn any new programs specific to the business.
- Experience working with Med Access EMR is an asset, but experience with other EMR?s will be considered.

- Excellent communication both written and verbal, always maintaining a professional manor.
- Organizational, Interpersonal and Time Management skills are what make our Team Members stand apart from the others.
- Ability to work in an environment with multiple and sometimes competing demands while maintaining a strong focus on work tasks.
- Attention to details and accuracy in data entry is very important to keep accurate medical records.
- Will need to work collaboratively with the Unify Medical team and outside partners.
*Duties and Responsibilities: (Brief Summary)*
*Medical Office Assistant*
Working with the physician?s, this position is responsible primarily for the day-to-day administrative management of patients.
· Maintain and set up appointment templates for each physician in EMR
· Answer incoming calls in a timely manner and schedule appointments based on patient request, physician availability, and booking preference, confirm appointments for medicals and patients with a record of no-shows.
· Book tests and referrals for urgent referrals and patients who need assistance
· Organize, prepare, and clean exam rooms and ensure each room is appropriately stocked with supplies
· Investigate and follow up on missing test results as requested by physician
· Set up room and instrument trays for procedures as appropriate (e.g., mole removal, PAP, completes, etc.)
· Greet patients as they arrive and indicate arrival in EMR, confirming/updating patient demographics as needed
· Escort the patient to the exam room; provide instructions to prepare patient for visit (e.g., disrobing)
· Take patient vitals (height, weight, blood pressure) and enter results into the EMR
· Chaperone intimate exams, as requested
· Monitor exam room occupancy to ensure exam rooms are filled
· Collect any payments for uninsured services not covered by Alberta Health
· Check EMR on an ongoing basis for instructions from physician
· Perform other related duties, as required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
