*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical environment. The Medical Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk of our medical or dental office.
*Responsibilities*
* receiving clients and scheduling appointments, accommodating and prioritizing patient appointments under direction of health care providers and team members
* answering incoming phone inquiries and directing inquiries as appropriate
* managing client files/reports to forward to Therapists or Physicians
* assist clients with insurance claim information
* deal with insurance companies on behalf of clients? claims
* responsible for opening and closing the office each day.
* track inventory and office supplies
* Preparing and dispensing sleep test devices to clients ? training will be provided
* Cleaning and disinfecting equipment ? training will be provided
* Assist clients with their equipment and supplies ? training will be provided
* Typing office correspondence, photocopying, faxing and e-mailing of information as required
* shipping and receiving inventory
* performing other related duties
*Experience*
* Successful completion of Grade 12 supplemented by a Medical Support Services Program, Secretarial or Office Studies Program.
* Training in Medical Terminology is an asset
* Experience in medical secretarial related work ? having worked in a medical, physiotherapy, or dental office is an asset.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with the public in a friendly, respectful and confidential manner.
* Experience working with computers and relevant software programs ? Office 365, TEAMS, Outlook, Word, Excel,CRM and ERP systems
* Good typing skills
* Competent multi-tasking and organizational skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Have a good previous work and attendance record
* Valid driver?s license with a good driving record
* Criminal record check

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
