Allura Sex Therapy Centre is Vancouver's *leading trauma-informed sex therapy practice that exclusively focuses on sex, sexuality, and relationships. *Our clinic is currently located in Downtown Vancouver and also practice virtually across BC, working with adult clients of all genders, sexual orientations, and relationship structures. We are a team of *awesome sex-positive therapists* who exclusively specialize in sex, sexuality, & relationships, including: * Sexual functioning issues * Relational issues and couples * Ethical non-monogamy & kink * Gender identity & sexual orientation exploration * sexual trauma work * Other sexuality issues such as sexual health, compulsive sexual behaviours, atypical sexual interests, and pretty much anything else around sex! * Trauma-informed and sex-positive care *We are seeking a FULL-TIME clinical counsellor with a specialization as a couples therapist to join our close-knit team!* *You?d be a good fit for the team if you?re:* * *Passionate about sexuality and relationship work and committed to grow as a clinician in this niche* * Looking for a stable *employment* opportunity with potential for growth! * Working to become an *anti-racist practitioner* and understand social justice as a factor in the therapy work you do * Open-minded, sex-positive, and have a growth mindset (we?re huge nerds about continuing education!) * You enjoy connection on a team (our team LOVES Slack chats!) * You want flexible hours that can cover two evenings or an evening & weekend day (because you like a good work-life balance) * You're looking for a team to be on for the long term and grow with * Want to receive mentorship in sex therapy by more experienced clinicians and team support including regular case consultation opportunities and education * *Want the opportunity to mentor and supervise other clinicians and therapists in the future* * Up for working with some really cool cases and supporting clients in an area of therapy that is in high demand! * *have existing advanced couples counselling training and experience; you may have some sex therapy experience but are open and interested in learning to integrate the two!* _*OKAY, the nitty gritty. We?re a fun team and yet we do need a few specific qualifications for our therapists:*_ *We?re looking for a counsellor who:* * Has a *Master?s degree in counselling or clinical psychology, or social work* * Is registered with their respective association and/or college: *RCC, CCC, RSW, RPsych* * *Can provide a minimum of 20 clinical hours weekly* * A minimum of *5 years of general clinical experience postgrad* and *2 year of couples therapy experience* (we love new grads, but are looking for experienced counsellors for our team at this time!) * Strong ability and comfort *working with couples* (particularly *LGBTQ+ and non-monogamous couples)* * Has *existing training* in an attachment-based *couples therapy approach* (EFT, Developmental Model, IFIO) _While we appreciate the Gottman model, we are looking for a therapist who has advanced training in more attachment-based couples approaches_ * Comfort to work with a broad range of issues that may present themselves in couples and/or individuals (i.e., discrepancy in desire, infidelity, opening up their relationship, navigating CNM, kinky relationships, etc.) * *Ability to work two evenings or an evening and a weekend each week* * Wants a mix of in-person sessions and virtual sessions (*no remote only positions at this time*!) * *Formal c- LocationVancouver, BC
