We envision a bright future in Coquitlam that we hope includes you!About You / What We Are Looking For The Finance Division has an opportunity for an individual with excellent accounting, clerical, organization and communication skills to work in a customer service focused environment. Reporting to the Financial Operations Supervisor, this position performs clerical and accounting work involving the processing of payroll and accounts payable information, resolving emergent issues with vender invoicing and payment and support other team members with data analysis and documentation. The work also includes performing a variety of other related clerical and administrative duties, and establishing and maintaining liaison with a variety of internal and external contacts.Minimum Qualifications Completion of Grade 12, supplemented by bookkeeping and accounting courses, as well as being proficient with Microsoft Excel.Preferred QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have strong relevant clerical accounting experience preferably in a public sector or municipal setting, and a post secondary diploma or degree in a finance related discipline supplemented by relevant accounting courses. The ability to use Cognos, Oracle EBS, MarkView, Maximo and AMANDA applications are considered assets.What We Offer:This CUPE position has an hourly rate range of $29.48 - $34.63 plus 6 % in lieu of benefits. The rate of pay is based on a variety of factors including qualifications, knowledge, experience and skills.
