*SUMMARY* Terminal Forest Products Ltd is looking for a General Manager - Mainland Sawmills to join their Management team. The General Manager will be responsible for leading the Mainland team, optimize production, and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers and identifying opportunities to develop new customer relationships. *RESPONSIBILITIES* * Oversee daily operations of the sawmill, including production, maintenance, and workforce management * Lead a team of supervisors and employees, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and accountability * Cultivate business relationships with existing and new cutomers, providing exceptional credibility / customer service. * Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, quality, and profitability * Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards. * Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and industry stakeholders * Be comfortable ?rolling up your sleeves? and working with and supporting other departments as necessary *REQUIREMENTS* * Proven experience in a management role within the lumber or manufacturing industry. * Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * In-depth knowledge of sawmill processes, equipment, and safety regulations. * Financial acumen and experience with budgeting and forecasting. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to adapt to industry trends and market demands. * Extensive knowledge in wood products business *KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES* * Minimum five years of experience in a role with similar responsibilities * Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage time efficiently, and work well under pressure * Superior accuracy with meticulous attention to details * Multi-Lingual; Strong verbal and written communication skills * Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies A competitive compensation package will be offered to the successful candidate, including a comprehensive benefits package.
