Beanwise is Canada's largest coffee & tea store. With over 25 years of combined experience in the specialty gourmet coffee industry. Specializing in the single serve coffee industry, Beanwise is a proud seller of over 300 varieties of coffee for any coffee brewer, and over 60 different loose leaf teas! Additionally, we carry a number of coffee, tea, and espresso brewing systems. This is the place coffee lovers come to have all of their coffee and tea related questions answered!
We currently have an excellent opportunity for you to work with a high-energy, results driven team of sales representatives. Our ideal candidate for this role is extremely reliable, sales oriented and approachable! As a member of our outstanding team you would be responsible for staying current on all coffee and tea industry trends and employing this knowledge when serving guests with friendly, individualized attention towards each guest. He/she is also responsible for educating customers about our premium coffees, teas and other products. As well as, fulfilling any other duties the store manager assigns and representing the brand in a kind and professional manner.
*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
*Operations*
* Sincerely greets and welcomes guests and assess their food and beverage needs through questions.
* Educates guests by presenting and explaining products.
* Sells coffee and teas by explaining unique grinds, leaves and flavour profiles.
* Generates revenues by attracting new guests and defining new and expanded services.
* Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies.
* Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
* Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar.
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading coffee, retail trade, and food service publications; maintaining personal networks.
* Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
*SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS*
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Must be available at least one weekend day.
* Passionate about customer service.
* Ability to work early mornings and alternating shifts.
* Maintain a well-groomed appearance and adheres to uniform standards.
* Show willingness to be of assistance and take initiative in finding solutions when faced with obstacles.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $16.55 per hour
Shift:
* 10 hour shift
* 8 hour shift
* Day shift
Work days:
* Monday to Friday
* Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
* Toronto, ON M4S 2A3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
* Retail: 1 year (preferred)
