Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Job Description: The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) reports to the Director of Emergency Medical Services and when on site in a facility to the designated Supervisor/Charge Nurse. EMTs provide direct pre-hospital, emergency and patient care. They assist with the operations of the facilities they serve. The only restriction that has been identified governing their participation in these departments is; No duties can restrict them from responding immediately to any ambulance calls. EMTs shall abide by the Saskatchewan Health Authority and its Affiliates Mission, Vision, Values, Policies and Procedures. Human Resources Exemption: No Education- Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)Licenses- Valid Class 4 driver's license- International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)Competencies- Intermediate - Critical thinking skills- Intermediate - Written Communication Skills- Intermediate - Decision making skills- Intermediate - Communication skills- Basic - Interpersonal skills- Intermediate -- Basic -Knowledge and Abilities- Knowledge in conflict resolution techniques- Ability to act professionally, ethically and provide sound judgement- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team- Ability to be resilient- Ability to function effectively in high stress and in emergency situations- Positive approach to deal with challenging situations with empathy...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.- LocationMelville, SK
