Position #: 163412 Expected Start Date: November 26, 2024 Union: HSAS Facility: St Josephs Hospital - SHA City/Town: Estevan Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days, Nights, Evenings, Weekends Hours of Work: 672 hours per 16 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic Coordinator $39.654 to $48.451 Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the EMS Manager the Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic is responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergent calls for service, provide initial assessment, treatment and transport of ill or injured persons. Human Resources Exemption: No Education- Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma (ACP)Licenses- International Trauma Life Support Advanced Certificate (ITLS)- Valid Class 4 driver's license- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)Other Education and Training- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)Knowledge and Abilities- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing- Strong interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary teamOther Information- Registered/eligible with Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at ACP/EMT-P- Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement- Standard Hours- For more information on the city of Estevan please visit http://estevan.ca/ About US The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is the largest employer in Saskatchewan, employing more than 45,000 staff in a dynamic healthcare environment.
