You will join a dynamic and passionate team of supervisors.</p><p>Your main objective will be to manage a team of employees in the assembly & test department and coordinate activities at Pratt & Whitney Canada - Mississauga. As such, you will be responsible for training, managing schedules, assigning tasks and employee evaluations. The assembly & test department build and test highly engineered turbofan engines that are flown all around the world. </p><p>You will also be the contact person for internal and external customers, as well as the point of contact for employees and the management team.</p><p>The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Mississauga, and is exclusively on-site.</p><p></p><p><b>What will your day-to-day look like? </b></p><ul><li><p>Actively participate in the implementation of continuous improvement projects and initiatives/projects in his/her sector of activity aimed at reducing non-quality costs</p></li><li><p>Manage organizational changes and ensure employee flexibility.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Supervise and lead a team of skilled assembly and test employees</p></li><li><p>Motivates and creates a team atmosphere on the shop floor</p></li><li><p>Assigns tasks and monitors the pitch throughout the entire production cycle</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Responsible for coaching, resolving employee issues and serving as a link between employees and management</p></li><li><p>Responsible for employee training, development, performance management, and career development</p></li><li><p>Schedule training and ensures policies, and procedures are met</p></li><li><p>Responsible for EH&S compliance including inspections, investigations and action closure, and promotion of an active caring workplace</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Engage team in CORE activities and application of tools. Lead robust Quality clinics.</p></li><li><p>Drive and actively participate in continuous improvement projects on the shop floor</p></li><li><p>Appropriate and timely communication of information in contact/staff meetings</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Administrative tasks including timecards, vacation, schedules, overtime monitoring</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What do you need to be successful? </b></p><ul><li><p>College diploma (DEC) or Bachelor's degree (BAC) in Operations Management, Administration, Quality Assurance, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering</p></li><li><p>5 years' management experience</p></li><li><p>You must be fluent in written and spoken English</p></li><li><p>Experience in the aeronautical industry and/or manufacturing company (asset)</p></li><li><p>Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams, groups, projects and/or processes</p></li><li><p>Able to manage department shift schedule, support weekday and weekend overtime as required</p></li><li><p>Must have demonstrated abilities in leading teams from various groups and working closely with internal customers and suppliers to achieve results<- LocationMississauga, ON
