We are seeking a lawyer to join our growing family law practice. We are a small-sized firm currently expanding from three lawyers and staff. This is a hybrid position (three days at office per week). We are looking for someone interested in litigation, particularly court proceedings in family and estates law. Our team is approachable and focused on learning and evolving. We are only accepting applications from lawyers that have experience in family law. The minimum required experience is either: 1) completion of articling term exclusively in family law; or 2) one year of work as a family lawyer. The applicants should have an understanding of the family law court process and be interested in litigation, including conferences, motions, and trials. Legal Aid empanelment is strongly preferred. Duties: - Consultations with potential clients - Court litigation, including drafting pleadings, attending at court - Ability to work in a fast paced environment and take on cases that are being heard on an urgent basis, and meet all relevant deadlines.
