*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish meets our standards for taste and presentation. *Duties* * Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. * Ensure proper food handling and safety practices are followed at all times. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas. * Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and measuring. * Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. * Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. * Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. * Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or specials. *Requirements* * Previous experience in the food industry or as a cook is preferred but not mandatory. * Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations is essential (Food Handlers Certificate). * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. * Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. * Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. * A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques in meal preparation.
