Job details
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Tasks: Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect defects. Establish NDI techniques and calibration standards. Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Perform preventive maintenance. Perform scheduled maintenance service on equipment. Manipulate sections of pipes or drill stems at rig floor during drilling and during removal and replacement of pipes, drill stems and drill bits. Maintain equipment. Specify drilling fluids, bit selection, drill stem testing procedures and equipment. Service equipment. Participate in staff meetings. Ensure all drill bits, end bills, precision cutters and lathe tools are kept sharp. Conduct quality audits . Computer and technology knowledge: Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Equipment and machinery experience: Grinder. Drills. Area of work experience: Oil or gas pipelines. Manufacturing sector experience: Paints and protective coatings. Area of specialization: Shipping and receiving. Screening questions: Are you available for the advertised start date?. Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
