_*PART-TIME / FULL-TIME*_ *QUALIFICATIONS:* *Qualifications* * Previous experience working with patients in a healthcare environment an asset * B.Sc. in Human Physiology, Biology, Kinesiology, or equivalent required. * Registered or Registry eligible with the Canadian Association of Cardio Pulmonary Technologist (CACPT). * Effective verbal and written communication skills. * Knowledge of applicable departmental policies, procedures, guidelines, protocols and practices. * Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code. _*Training for qualified applicant available*_ * Ability to work independently in a laboratory environment * Strong technical skills * Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities * Attention to detail and efficient time management. * Experience working with people with varying degrees of illnesses or disabilities. * Current BCLS * Evidence of satisfactory attendance & punctuality *RESPONSIBILITIES:* * Perform comprehensive flow volume loops, diffusing capacity, body plethysmography. * Setup, calibration, troubleshooting and routine maintenance of the pulmonary function laboratory equipment * Produce accurate and timely study reports through the detailed analysis of data in accordance with accepted professional and laboratory standards * Maintain accurate and detailed records of all studies and related activities * Liaise with technical, medical and interdisciplinary team members Applicants selected for interviews will be contacted Job Type: Part-time Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour Schedule: * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Education: * Bachelor's Degree (required) Experience: * Pulmonary Function Testing: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2024-12-12- LocationScarborough, ON
