*Summary* Our *Owen Sound* location is currently looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual for the position of *Forklift Operator*. The Forklift Operator prepares loads and unloads building materials in the warehouse through the safe operation of a lift truck. Together with other team members, the Forklift Operator works to exceed customer expectations. *Key Responsibilities* · Perform daily inspections of lift trucks and complete required forms. · Ensure lift truck maintenance and servicing requirements are met. · Build orders to required specifications for delivery. · Load and unload building materials in a safe and efficient manner. · Check load contents for accuracy and secure materials. · Ensure that all products are shipped on schedule and according to specific instructions by management to meet customer demands. · Maintain contact with supervisors and work to resolve issues as they arise. · Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers. · Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures. · Other duties as assigned by management. *Basic Qualifications* · Valid forklift certification *(propane)*. · Minimum of two years? experience. · Driver?s License (Class DZ) is a plus. · Effective written and oral communication skills. · Knowledge of basic mathematics. · Basic hand tool skills. *Physical Requirements* · Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs. · Sitting and driving for longs periods of time. · Frequently climbing up and down stairs. · Pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movements with weight. *Benefits * · Health benefits - including drug coverage, practitioner, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. · Retirement savings (pension or other) are provided. · Perks - Company discounts (mobile phone, gym membership, etc.), training programs and opportunities for career advancement, group events, and more If you feel we are a good fit for your career goals and skillset, we invite you to apply and look forward to reviewing your application.
