Kanadario Trustee Accounts Agents - through its principal John Clark - was established to provide support and advice for individuals serving in fiduciary positions such as *trustee *under living (_inter vivos) _trusts, *attorney* under powers of attorney for property, and *estate trustee* (executor). It also accepts agency engagements to perform the duties of individuals who have been appointed to those positions and accepts direct appointments. to serve as trustee, attorneys for property and estate trustee.
Job description
Working under the supervision of John Clark, you will be responsible for the administration of trusts, attorneyships, and estates, including the identification, realization and preservation of assets, the satisfaction and payments of liabilities and debts, the distribution of assets to those beneficially entitled. Depending on your skill set and experience you may also be responsible for assistance in the maintenance of accounts of trust, attorneyship and estate administration, including, where required, the preparation of specialized accounts according to the requirements of the _Trustee Act_ (Ontario) and the Superior Court of Ontario _Rules of Civil Procedure_.
It is an independent contractor position, ideal for a person with client-service experience and bookkeeping and accounting knowledge who prefers to work from a home base, facilitated by an encrypted virtual private network. You will equip your home office with all necessary equipment, (e.g. desktop or laptop computer, appropriate software Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and printer/scanner). Training will be provided as required. A motor vehicle is required.
You will invoice for your time on the 15th and the last day of every month. Payment will be made upon receipt. You will be expected to create and maintain appropriate income and HST business accounts with Canada Revenue Agency.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a law office setting is preferred but not mandatory.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Proficient in using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel) and other office software.
* Excellent client service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.99-$30.00 per hour
