*Job Overview* We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to individuals in need of care, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role is vital in supporting clients with daily living activities and enhancing their quality of life, particularly for seniors and individuals with disabilities. *Duties* * Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. * Administer medication as prescribed and ensure compliance with healthcare guidelines. * Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences. * Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties. * Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere. * Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safe movement within the home or community. * Document care provided and report any changes in client conditions to appropriate personnel. * Engage clients in activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction. * Support clients with dementia care strategies to enhance their daily experiences. *Requirements* * Previous experience in caregiving or a related field such as assisted living or nursing home environments is preferred. * Knowledge of senior care practices and familiarity with working with persons with disabilities is advantageous. * Skills in medication administration and meal preparation are highly desirable. * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members. * Ability to work independently while also being a team player committed to client-centered care. * Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. * Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the needs of clients, including availability for evenings or weekends if required.
