*Location:* 12235 Industrial Rd, Surrey *Job Type:* Full-Time *Job Description:* We are seeking an experienced *Excavator Operator* to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating heavy machinery and has a strong background in scrap metal handling. As part of our team, you'll play a key role in loading and unloading vehicles, heavy lifting, and ensuring safe and efficient material handling in various weather conditions. *Key Responsibilities:* * Operate excavator to load and unload materials from vehicles, including tonnage trucks. * Safely handle and grade scrap metal materials according to specifications. * Perform heavy lifting and material handling tasks as required. * Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations. * Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and report any issues to supervisors. * Use and maintain proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to ensure personal and team safety. * Follow all company and industry safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries. *Qualifications:* * *Minimum 3+ years* of experience as an Excavator Operator, preferably with experience in scrap metal * Strong knowledge of operating excavators and heavy machinery safely and effectively. * Experience loading and unloading vehicles * Ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors. * Ability to grade scrap metal and distinguish between materials for proper disposal. * Willingness to work in all weather conditions and follow safety protocols. * Strong work ethic and ability to be a team player in a fast-paced environment. *Physical Requirements:* * Ability to lift and move heavy materials regularly. * Ability to operate heavy equipment for extended periods. * Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. *Benefits:* * Competitive hourly wage. * Full-time, stable position. * Opportunities for overtime and career advancement. * Safety training provided. * Health Benefits Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Schedule: * 8 hour shift Ability to commute/relocate: * Surrey, BC V3V 3S1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Language: * English (preferred) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2024-12-02- LocationSurrey, BC
