SUPPLY EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR <p> SYSTEM <p> <p>Mandatory Requirements: <p><p> Two-year community college Early Childhood Education Diploma or Degree<p> Proof of registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators<p> Valid certificates in First Aid and CPR<p> Recent experience planning and implementing appropriate educational programs in preschool aged children<p> Basic computer skills<p> Strong organization and time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines<p> The ability to stand/walk for extended periods and move/carry equipment for programs<p> Must be able to physically assist children as required<p> Knowledge of the Ministry of Education full day learning program<p> Knowledge of related legislation and a working knowledge of Board related policies and procedures<p> Demonstrated ability to communicate in a sensitive and courteous manner with children, parents, staff and the general public<p> Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment<p> A sound knowledge of play based learning<p> A proven ability to deal with classroom management, stressful and emergency situations and to take appropriate action based on established Board policies and procedures<p> <p> Preferred Requirements: <p> <p> Two years recent childcare experience working in an Early Learning Centre or Day Care<p> Recent experience in a school setting with kindergarten children<p> Knowledge of early literacy and numeracy skill development strategies<p> Ability to speak French is an asset<p> Experience working with various outreach and community development programs is an asset<p> <p> <p><p>Qualified applicants who wish to be considered for this position are asked to submit a completed Designated Early Childhood Educator application form (link: http://www.npsc.ca/employment/), resume, and two written work references.<p>Shawn Fitzsimmons, Chair<p>Paula Mann, Director of Education<p><p>This position will remain open until our supply list is filled.
