*Job Description:*
We are seeking a skilled *Mechanical Engineer* to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and overseeing mechanical systems within the construction industry, particularly for large-scale building projects.
*Responsibilities:*
*Design and Analysis:*
* Develop mechanical system designs for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection in high-rise buildings.
* Perform simulations and calculations to ensure system efficiency and compliance with regulations.
*Project Collaboration:*
* Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and project managers to integrate mechanical designs seamlessly into overall project plans.
* Participate in project meetings and provide technical insights.
*On-Site Oversight:*
* Oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems on construction sites.
* Ensure that all mechanical work meets quality standards and project specifications.
*Compliance and Safety:*
* Stay updated on local building codes, standards, and safety regulations.
* Implement best practices for safety and sustainability in all mechanical engineering tasks.
*Documentation and Reporting:*
* Prepare detailed reports, drawings, and documentation for projects.
* Assist in preparing bids and proposals by providing technical information.
*Qualifications:*
*Education:*
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
*Experience:*
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the construction industry.
* Experience with high-rise building projects is an asset.
*Technical Skills:*
* Proficient in CAD software and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
* Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
* Familiarity with local building codes and environmental regulations.
*Certifications:*
* Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in British Columbia, or eligibility to obtain it.
*Soft Skills:*
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Effective time management and organizational skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $90,000.00-$121,000.00 per year
