Chief Instructor - Air Combat Systems Officer Contracted Qualified Flying Instructor (ACSO CQFI) PAL Aerospace has partnered with SkyAlyne, the prime contractor for the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) Program for the Government of Canada. This is Canada's next generation pilot and aircrew training program for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). The FAcT Program will transform how the RCAF trains its next generation of pilots, Air Combat Systems Officers (ACSO), and Airborne Electronic Sensor Operators (AES Op). Duane MacLeod - Director of Training & Head Sensor Op (Curaçao) // PAL Aerospace PAL Aerospace is searching for experienced Chief Instructor - ACSO CQFI to join our team at the Winnipeg, MB facility. Duties and Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the Chief Instructor ACSO CQFI is to manage the CQFIs (ACSO and ASES OP), manage the Training Program / Training System Design and provide training to RCAF ACSO and AES Op students. Fill the position of ACSO subject matter expert to support the FAcT ramp up plan and transition-in activities up to Ready for Training (RFT) and Training Steady State (TSS) such as supporting courseware development, Operational Test & Evaluation (OT&E) and customer acceptance activities, as well as participating in Training Development Team (TDT) and Integrated Test Team (ITT) working groups. Oversee and assign resources to meet training development deliverables and for the delivery of student and FIC instruction. Support ACSO and FIC training, including all associated activities to support the instructional mission and instruct as a CQFI on the ACSO syllabus, as required. Conduct the category proficiency and upgrade checks on ACSO CQFIs, as required. Maintain the training and standards records of the instructors. Act as Subject Matter Expert to support Courseware, flight operations and training delivery IPTs. Collaborate with various groups to manage training, scheduling and flight operations and reporting. Participate in Wing, Squadron and Flight-mandated briefings, participate in Progress Review Boards and Instructor Reviews, as required. Support flight dispatching, as required. Travel required. Experience: Military experience within the last 10 years with an acceptable PLAR. Former RCAF QFI ACSO experience within the last 10 years. Have not less than three (3) years related supervisory experience at the senior officer level within a flying unit or air service, whose flight operations are similar in size and scope. Comprehensive understanding of RCAF rear crew training system, organizations/hierarchy, and reporting mechanisms. RCAF/DND/GoC/industry, or equivalent, experience in general staffing duties and procedures. RCAF CFITES principles. Supporting operations and training programs, including operational planning, budgeting and execution. Medical Category: Maintain an unrestricted TC Category I Medical; Before starting the FIC Phase 2 (Conversion) and every two years thereafter, meet RCAF pilot standards on the following medical examinations: HbA1C, CBC,- LocationWinnipeg, MB
