NOVEMBER 26, 2024 <p> <p> <p>POSTING #24/25-49 NOVEMBER 26, 2024 <p>TEMPORARY JOB POSTING <p>SILVERTHORNE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL <p><p> <p>1.0 FTE TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT PRIMARY <p>EFFECTIVE: January 30, 2025 to June 30, 2025 <p>This position is eligible for the current provincial recruitment and retention allowance for new certified teachers to SD54. <p>The successful candidate will: <p><p> Have training and / or experience at the Primary level, and at leading a possible combined grade class, with an emphasis on early literacy / language arts; <p> Be familiar with the Early Learning Framework; <p> Provide a child focused approach utilizing current methodology and strategies; <p> Be familiar with and apply principles of Self-Regulation; <p> Have knowledge and commitment to using current assessment strategies, including formative assessment; <p> Have a commitment to the direction of the school as outlined in the School Growth Plan; <p> Embed the First Nations Principles of Learning in all subject areas; <p> Be committed to and practice the philosophy of inclusion; <p> Preferably have experience at implementing the Early Primary Reading Assessment; <p> Be committed to working as a cooperative, collaborative member of a school wide instructional team and attend meetings as required; <p> Be committed to consultation, parent conferences, and positive home/school/community liaison; <p> Be able to work with students with a variety of behaviours and use positive approaches to support behaviour change; <p> Have experience in the use of computer technology in the classroom; <p> Have experience using technology for communicating student learning. <p><p>Applicants should be aware that attendance at staff meetings, professional development activities and school-based team meetings is considered an integral element of assignments.<p>All inquiries should be directed to: Mark Fehr, Principal <p>Silverthorne Elementary School <p>SALARY: The starting annual salary for full-time Elementary School position ranges from $62,718 to $110,161, with placement on the range based on length of services and qualification in accordance with the collective agreement.
