Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: At heights. Noisy. Dusty. Work setting: Machinery installation. Maintenance. Service. Repair. Overhaul. Machine set-up. Shopwork. Tasks: Assemble mechanical equipment. Assemble stationary industrial machinery. Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions. Repair or replace defective machinery parts. Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up. Estimate costs and materials. Perform routine maintenance work on machinery. Operate machining tools to fabricate parts. Installing machinery and equipment. Operate hoisting and lifting equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification. Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement. Welding techniques: Oxy-acetylene welding (OAW). Equipment and machinery experience: Conveyor. Electrical and electronic controls. Fans and blowers. Gas and air dryers. Gas compressors. Heat exchangers. High speed packaging equipment. Hydraulic system. Pneumatic system. Power tools. Pumps and compressors. Tool grinders. Welding equipment. Hand tools. Area of specialization: Start-up and testing. Shutdown operations. Troubleshooting. Bearing, seals and packing. Stainless steel welding. Laser levelling/aligning. Wiring. Welding.
