This refined process allows our international customers to experience the amazing flavour of Alberta-grown potatoes with minimal environmental impact._ _*\*MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUTE TO VAUXHALL\**_ *Job Summary* We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. To ensure that all equipment in facility is running in a functional and safe manner to ensure daily operations can proceed. Maintenance of building facility and perform repairs as preventative maintenance calls for, as well as on an ongoing basis. *Essential Job Functions* · Maintain and repair most equipment within facility · Advise Maintenance Manager of repairs and parts that are required- Work Orders · Support the established programs, policies, maintenance and ongoing goals of obtaining the HACCP program at the Dehy Facility. · Prevent and manage down time by maintaining equipment efficiently and properly. · Changing of bearings, electric motors, change sprockets, belt changing/maintenance, welding. · Keep work areas continually clean and free of hazards. · Will be accountable to following the established programs, policies and practices of Prairie Gold Produce Ltd, and Health and Safety policy · Support the established programs, policies, maintenance and ongoing goals of obtaining the HACCP program at the Dehy Facility. · Other duties as assigned in relation to the position. Working Conditions * Hot, dusty, humid, wet, * Poor ventilation, flashes (welding), chemicals, Position Requirements · Completion of high school · Work well under pressure · Minimum of 1-2 years maintenance experience required · Millwright ticket an asset · Welding experience or ticket an asset. · Must be willing to work shifts and overtime Other Skills/Abilities · Ability to work independently and without supervision · Attention to detail, maintenance and other issues that arise. · Hand eye coordination. · Fabrication experiences an asset. · Ability to be safety conscious and continually apply safety knowledge. *\*Only successful Applicants will be contacted\** Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $19.50-$26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 ? 46 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care Schedule: * 12 hour shift Ability to commute/relocate: * Vauxhall, AB T0K 2K0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: * Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (required) Work Location: In person Application deadline: 2024-12-15 Expected start date: 2024-12-15
