*Job description* *About Us* Newly established, Ascension Industrial Services provides millwrighting and electrical services to meet all of our customer needs. We specialize in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, shift support, and preventative maintenance. Our team of licensed millwrights and electricians are able to provide clients with peace of mind through our extensive industrial knowledge and dedication to excellent customer service. *Roles and Responsibilities* We are currently looking for a skilled Industrial Mechanic/Millwright (licensed 433A) to troubleshoot repairs, perform preventative maintenance, and rigging work as required. We are looking for a candidate who enjoys variety in their work-day and is interested in working with our sister companies Ascension Automation Solutions Ltd. and Ascension Manufacturing Ltd. *A strong candidate will demonstrate the ability to:* * Troubleshoot machine failures and repair as necessary; * Perform preventative maintenance checks/repairs as directed by the client or management; * Show an interest in forms of predictive maintenance such as vibration analysis; * Operate and inspect material handling equipment (such as overhead & mobile cranes); light mobile equipment (such as forklifts, pickup trucks); * Read and interpret complex engineering drawings including pneumatic/hydraulic schematics, BOMs, and detailed assembly drawings; * Operate and inspect hand-held equipment (such as torches, oxygen lances, pneumatic/power actuated tools and hand tools); * Must be comfortable with simple electrical connection/disconnection * Clearly communicate completed tasks * Demonstrate good housekeeping practices at all times to help maintain a safe work area; *Qualifications & Core Skills* * 3+ years experience as a licensed 433A Millwright. * Welding experience is an asset, (training is supported in-house); * Ability to read blueprints, drawings and specifications; * Experience operating all general-purpose machine shop equipment; * Above average trouble-shooting skills; * Excellent customer service; * Ability to work as a member of a team with minimal supervision; * Able to lift weight of up to 50lbs; * Able to work in a warm/cold environment; * Good communication skills, both verbal and written; * Valid driver?s license required. *Education:* * 433A license required. *Remuneration* As a progressive employer, Ascension Industrial Services Ltd. strives to offer competitive wages and vacation packages, while supporting the continual growth and development of our employees.
