*Material Handler*
We are hiring a *Material Handler* for one of our clients located in *Brampton.* Our client specializes in making tools and dies.
*Duties:*
· Handle all materials in a safe and efficient manner to and from production and shipping areas adhering to Health and Safety and Housekeeping policies.
· Ensure all deliveries are prepared for safe shipment and accompanied by the proper documentation.
· Ensure all shipping labels are printed as per customer requirements and are affixed to all containers.
· Create packing slips for supplier (secondary source) shipments as required.
· Assist in the packaging of products where necessary.
· Wrap and strap products on pallets.
· Verify quantities and labels on product.
· Always adhere to safe lift truck operation practices, respecting speed restrictions, pedestrian traffic, and load integrity.
· Perform and complete forklift and crane inspections prior to the start of each shift. Ensure the checklist is accurately completed and submitted.
· Report any defects or unsafe equipment conditions to the Supervisor immediately.
· Store steady flow of product in the designated locations ensuring that labels remain with and pertain to related materials.
· If required, stagethe product for shipping.
· Inform Materials Group of any discrepancy such as a supplier having short-shipped.
· Ensure all customer delivery and other network and communications requirements are met such as ASNs.
· Arrange/set up freight/logistics between the company and suppliers/customers as required.
· Ensure proper tracking of returnable containers and packaging.
· Adhere to housekeeping policies and maintain materials in a clean, neat, and organized manner.
· Ensure and maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
· Adhere to all obligations and requirements under Section 28 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
· Adhere to all obligations and duties outlined in the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act.
· Work in compliance with IATF 16949, 5S, and all other company policies and procedures.
· Attend and participate in all required meetings and ensure the timely communication of information to all other team members.
*Measurement Base:*
· Frequency and duration of press downtime due to a lack of raw material.
· Cost savings.
· Continuous Improvement (CI) ideas.
· Adherence to IATF 16949, 5S, and all other company policies and procedures.

*Employment Requirements:*
· Current lift truck certification.
· Attention to detail.
· Excellent organizational skills
· Prioritizing skills
· Time management skills
· Competent lift truck operator with a solid understanding of related safety regulations.
· Minimum 5+ years? experience operating a tow motor.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Excellent English skills both oral and written.
Job Type: Full time
Pay rate: $17 to $19.
Timing:
Day shift: 7:00 am ?3:15 pm
Afternoon shift: 3:00pm ? 11:00pm
Night shift: 11:00pm ? 07:15am
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
