As the Shunt Truck Driver, you will be utilizing your primary skills as a commercial driver. This position is fast-paced, and rewarding. You will have an assigned unit (no slip seating), home daily, no touch freight and paid weekly. We have group benefits, which include vision, dental, extended medical, life and travel insurance.
Some of the responsibilities will be moving containers and trailers to and from the port, conduct pre-trip inspections, maintain accurate logs, follow hour of services regulations and adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while in port and customer yards.
To qualify, you must have a minimum of 2 years? experience, preference will be given to applicants who have port experience. Must have a clear driver?s abstract and clear criminal search.
We are a family owned and operated company, located in Jacksonville, NB. McConnell Transport has been transporting fresh, frozen and dry goods across North America since 1978.

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 ? 60 per week
